Welcome to the Eve Branson Foundation.
The Eve Branson Foundation is a small non-profit based in Morocco.
Our mission is to create opportunities for local people in the High Atlas Mountains which can make a meaningful difference to their families and community. We have developed initiatives in four key areas: artisanal training; environment; healthcare and education.
We have forged a strong and fruitful partnership with Kasbah Tamadot, a Moroccan retreat owned by Eve’s son Richard Branson, set in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains. We are driven by a shared commitment to make a meaningful difference to the local community.
We work alongside Virgin Unite to deliver our mission of building a healthy and resilient future for the Berber (Amazigh) people. Since 2005, our collaborative programmes have helped to sustain livelihoods in the region.
Morocco Earthquake Update
In September 2023, Morocco was hit by a powerful earthquake. Remote mountain communities were among those worst affected. Our team responded within hours, getting vital supplies to local families.
Our commitment to serve local villages remains unwavering. With funds raised, we are now embarking on a major schools rebuild project and we will share more news about this over the coming months.
Read our latest impact report here.
By investing in projects that support and safeguard education, restore meaningful artisanal spaces and promote and protect cultural tourism, we will stimulate economic growth and address the needs of the affected communities so that we can foster long-term resilience.
If you would like to support our latest schools project, please donate here. You can also read more about our brand new Tousna Study Centre here.
Our special thanks to the teams at Riad El Fenn, Marrakech, Virgin Unite, Virgin Limited Edition, The Dental Mavericks and The Rif Community Foundation for their incredible support so far.
We would also like to thank the many individual supporters, donors, partners and collaborators who are helping to rebuild our communities. We are grateful to share this journey with you.
A Message from Our Founder
"My love of Morocco and the wonderful people that inhabit it, stems back to the late 90s. Since the beginning, we have worked in partnership with each village to bring about transformations both economically and socially. We have learned through mutual respect and determination, how to successfully combine our entrepreneurial spirit with the Berber culture.
I’m thrilled to see how far the young people attending our programmes have advanced and incredibly proud of their hard work. With your support, we can continue to offer young people in Morocco a creative and more independent future." - Eve Branson, 1924 - 2021
